An Introduction of Strategic Cooperation between
Copyright Protection Center of China and
US-China Creative Industry Association

Copyright Protection Center of China (CPCC) is a comprehensive copyright public service and a social service organization under the direct leadership of the State Administration of Press, Publication, Radio, Film, and Television of the PRC (National Copyright Administration of China). It possesses the official qualifications to issue copyright certificates of various overseas works in China; it has a DCI (Digital Copyright Identification) Service system, a China ISRC Center, an Audio Video Copyright Surveillance, and an Investigation Service Platform, which provide professional services to the copyright owners, copyright-related rights holders, and the users.

US-China Creative Industry Association (USCCIA) is a non-government, non-profit international creative industry association. It safeguards intellectual property, especially copyright creative industry communication platforms between the United States and China. Its services cover film and television programs, music, publishing, animation, graphics, advertisement, exhibitions, information technology, internet, communication, talent, finance, investment, environmental protection, city planning, agriculture, life sciences, and other technological industries.

In 2014, CPCC and USCCIA concluded a Strategic Cooperation Agreement in order to promote Sino-US copyright trade, a Sino-US collaborated copyright protection mechanism, to set up Copyright Service mechanism, copyright industry financing channels, and a Sino-US communication and cooperation platform. In detail, CPCC and USCCIA are cooperated to set up a CPCC Copyright service mechanism in the United States, to establish copyright investment and financing channels, to carry out copyright agency cooperation, and to organize communication activities and copyright seminars.

On behalf of CCPC, USCCIA performs the unique copyright service mechanism in US and offers copyright registration services, such as literature, software, licensing contracts, and digital work registration to US enterprises. USCCIA will represent the US enterprises and file registration applications to CPCC. After examination, copyright registration certificates will be issued by CPCC.

Apart from establishing a CPCC Copyright service mechanism, USCCIA will also advertise and promote CPCC‘s legal service business in the United States, including, but not limited to, CPCC’s Audio Video Copyright Surveillance and Investigation Sharing Platform service and CPCC’s rapid copyright safeguarding response service against internet copyright infringement.

CPCC and USCCIA are conjoined, taking their own advantages to promote the development of copyright industry trade and cultural exchange, and to advance the development of film, television programs, music, publishing, software, performance, art trading, animation, online games, and art exhibition industries.
